Holy Infancy School opened its doors for the first time in 1894. 

We have the Ambassador program to welcome new families into the school, and we assign mentor students for our incoming students in older grades.

All Diocesan schools follow the Allentown Diocese curriculum. The core curriculum is in alignment with state and national standards and is rooted in Catholic tradition. We provide competitive programs with well-rounded offerings to educate the whole person.  In addition to the core curriculum, students participate in enrichment courses as well.

Holy Infancy School has been fully accredited by the Middle States Commission for Schools.

Core subjects include: ELA (English, Language Arts), Math, Science, Social Studies/History, and Religion. 
Special electives include: Physical Education, Media/Library, Art, Spanish, Computer Technology, STEAM and Music.

Yes, the students have a Religion class period each day. The amount of time for instruction is dependent on the age of the child. All materials and textbooks are pre-approved by the Allentown Diocese. The children go to Incarnation of Our Lord Parish every Friday for Mass. Holy Infancy School provides sacramental preparation for First Penance, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation. Prayer services and liturgical events such as The Stations of the Cross and May Crowning are held throughout the year within the school and/or classrooms. Children say morning and afternoon prayers and prayers before meals at noontime. The school is permeated with the Catholic faith and its traditions and symbols. Prayer is an integral part of the school whether adult or child. Students in grades 3-8 attend Reconciliation services during the year.

Yes, children who are not Catholic are accepted into the community.  All our students are expected to participate in Religion classes and attend weekly Mass. We celebrate and respect multiple cultures and the religious beliefs of all. 

All Diocesan schools follow as closely as possible the local district’s calendar. However, some of our Professional Days and Teacher Workdays may be different, as well as the Spring Break and Easter Holidays.

Kindergarten through 8th - 8:15 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. 

Diocesan schools do not take the Keystones. Our students take the National Renaissance Star Assessments.

We have one full time Title I support teacher for enrichment and remediation in math and reading.

Holy Infancy School, like other Diocesan schools, may select their textbooks from a predetermined list approved by the Diocese.  When it’s time for textbook renewal, our teachers explore and research various textbooks and make decisions with the Diocesan team.

A large number of our teaching staff have their master’s degrees.

Yes, we have separate teachers for Physical Education, Media/Library, Art, Spanish, Computer Technology, and Music.   

The following numbers are the maximum number of students per grade level:

• Kindergarten: 22 with an assistant

• First grade: 15-22 with an assistant

• Second: 15-22 

• Third: 15-22 

• Fourth-Eighth grades: 15-22

Yes, the Kindergarten through eighth grade participate in a variety of field trips. At Holy Infancy School, our teachers strive to meet the academic needs of all our students. The goal of the enrichment program is to provide the student with opportunities to expand on the standard grade curriculum, as well as challenge those students to use and extend logic, creativity, problem-solving, and other academic skills.  All trips are curriculum related.  We also bring events to our school from various community partners. Children in K-8 grade receive Spanish instruction.

Yes. 

Our graduates attend Bethlehem Catholic High School, Allentown Central Catholic High School, Notre Dame High School, Liberty High School, Freedom High School, Salisbury High School, and a variety of “Choice” public charter schools. 

Yes, we have an Extended Day Program.  We offer a study hall and age-appropriate activities. Only children who are students at Holy Infancy may participate. The cost is a nominal registration fee, and an hourly fee per student.  All students must be registered. The program runs from dismissal until 5:45 p.m. and is held in the library during school days Monday through Thursday. There is no Extended Day Program during holidays and Teacher In-service.

During severe weather transportation conditions, watch your TV to find out whether school is closed or delayed: WFMZ (Channel 69), delays and closures are communicated via FACTS SIS Parent Portal which sends a mass text and email to everyone who subscribes to the link. Holy Infancy School will follow the Bethlehem Area School District for delays and closures. Bused students will follow their home district’s schedule.

Yes, we have fresh catered meals served daily.

•  Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Grades Lunch:  11:40 a.m. - 12:10 p.m.

•  4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th Grades Lunch: 12:20 p.m. - 12:50 p.m.

Yes, tuition assistance is available for all who qualify financially.   Holy Infancy School strives to make its education affordable to anyone who is willing to be part of our learning community.  Once registered, in your STS account you can click on Grant/Aid.  You will need to have your most recent tax return and W2, and there is a processing fee. 

Yes. Tuition assistance is available from various funds, such as, Stabler Funds, Hispanic Endowment, EITC (Earned Income Tax Credit), and OSTC (Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit Program) for all students that qualify.  Parents and guardians must apply in a timely manner for this assistance. Our Tuition Manager will assist you in finding the financial aid needed. These funds are open to all qualified students whose parents might not otherwise be able to pay the full cost of tuition.

Uniforms may be purchased online at https://www.flynnohara.com/ or at Flynn and O’Hara uniform company located at 1876 Catasauqua Rd., Bethlehem, PA.

Gym uniforms and patches/logos for the polo shirts are purchased from the Main Office.
